Baton Rouge Ballet Theatre proudly welcomes three dancers into its newly created professional level! Your support can help us underwrite the dancers' salaries and allow us to continue to grow this program in the future! These artists-in-residence, each Baton Rouge natives, represent a new chapter in BRBT's growth.
Elliana Chaney was promoted from the pre-professional company where she performed many leading roles such as Myrtha in Giselle and the Azalea Fairy in The Nutcracker - A Tale from the Bayou. She will continue her academic studies at LSU while performing with us this season.
Leah Cox returns home to Baton Rouge to join the professional level after having completed her BFA degree in Dance at the University of Louisiana in Lafayette. While at UL, Leah was strongly featured in their many productions, worked with choreographers from around the country and created choreography of her own.
Patrick Jefferson is also an alumnus of BRBT who went on to dance professionally with both Ballet North Texas and Ballet Frontier in the Dallas area. Patrick has remained a popular guest artist with BRBT, most recently demonstrating excellent stage presence and clean technique in the 2026 performance of Rapunzel.
