Empowering Youth: Where Passion Meets Purpose

BRBT’s Youth Ballet Summer Tour is one of our cornerstone community outreach initiatives that fosters the advancement of classical and contemporary dance. This community outreach program highlights the talents of our younger dancers in a series of performance around the city. As they train and perform together, these young dancers receive valuable professional-caliber training, while also delighting area audiences with their highly anticipated productions.

What Youth Ballet Means to our Dancers

Since 1993, Youth Ballet has served as a major stepping stone in our dancers' journeys. Dancers are required to participate in countless hours of rehearsal time before they perform across more than 20 locations in the Greater Baton Rouge area.

This cast largely consists of dancers from our studio, The Dancers' Workshop. By auditioning for Youth Ballet, our dancers are making a serious commitment to their training. This is their path to join the Baton Rouge Ballet Theatre Company.

When you see these performances, you are seeing the future of Baton Rouge Ballet Theatre.
